New Camera
I bought Nick Welsh’s camera today, and decided I wanted to figure out how to use it. I got on my bike and set off to find something worth taking a picture of. It was pretty easy finding things to take pictures of because I just want to take pictures of everything. Whether the actual content of the pictures is worth seeing or not is yet to be determined.
So I rode my bike around Louisville for a while in a general northwardly direction, and eventually wound up at Waterfront Park. Alex met me there when he got off work, and together we rode our bikes furiously into the unknown, which quickly became known as we headed towards Indiana.
We crossed the bridge (terrifying) and ended up near the Falls of the Ohio and Widows Walk Cafe and Ice Creamery. I haven’t been over there in years, and it was neat to see the Louisville skyline from over there. I took pictures of it. We saw a beaver slide down the corner of a wall and disappear into the brush. I couldn’t get a picture of it.
We left from there and rode back to UofL. On the way I realized just how fucking exhausting it is to ride five miles home after riding five miles away, especially when you’re used to a five-minute ride to school, but it was completely worth it.
